VITA

Mr. Liu Kemin - the professor and master tutor of architecture and city program college of Tongji University. He, born in 1938, used to be a student of the oil painting department of the Central Art College of China. He was the director of Tongji art teaching and research section of the architecture department, the director of the environment art research center, the executive manager and deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Colleges and Universities Art Education and Research Association, the member of China Artist Association. He began to manage "Liu Kemin environment art working room" in 1996, which belongs to the architecture and city program college.

He has created the shelf painting for a long period, whose works, more than one hundred, were published and were chosen to the whole country art exhibition and Shanghai art exhibition. And some of his oil painting works were collected by personally of several foreign countries such as Australia, England, Japan etc. He started researching the environment art at the beginning of 1980s, which included mural, relief sculpture, sculpture and environment art design. And now he has created more than 100 productions in these fields. Also, he has published 5 pieces of thesis, a monograph and articles about art technique and method with dozens of thousand words.

In 1995, Liu kemin´s and his master student´s Yin jia environment art productions exhibition was separately held in Tongji University, Shanghai East China Architecture Design Research Institute, Shanghai Civil Architecture Design Research Association.

In 1999, "chunhua & qiushi" (the magnificent of spring and the rich of autumn) and other three productions were selected to the 9th whole country art exhibition, in which "chunhua & qiushi" won the copper prize.

In 2000, six productions including "Green Homeland" were chosen to shanghai "Run to 21 century Art Design Exhibition", in which the work, "Zhihuang Monument" gained the third price.

In 2004, "Green Homeland", "chunhua & qiushi", “the Melody of the Neon Lights” and ”Night-Boat” were chosen for the “First Chinese Mural Exhibition” and the book “One Hundred Year of Chinese Mural”.
